Independence celebration..

Mauritius celebrated his 43rd anniversary of independence and 19th anniversary of republic of Mauritius, on the 12th March. As usual the official flag raising ceremony was held at Champ de Mars. The Independence celebration started prior to 12th March. Every educational institute raised their flag one day before, as it is a public holiday.

The celebration will continue on Sunday also. the parade of floats from different ministers and companies will be parading in the north. Starting from Goodlands, then on the way to the longest village in the Indian Ocean, ending at mont Choisy beach.
